I made these representative sketches on the spot. In precise dot and stroke method of pen and ink, the sketches focus on the existing look of the area, especially the old fashioned buildings that blend in well with the scenery.
Slate roofed houses are being replaced by modern style houses and in future the villages are likely to look quite different.
I am recording the old slate roofed rural architecture and environment to preserve the memories of a fast changing lifestyle for the future in an artistic way.
I try to reproduce the "mood" of the subject I draw to convey an impression of my feelings about it when making a creative presentation
